Ranger R/X Solo FoW -> Spider Cave
Hi there!
I Would Like to present my build for ranger solo FoW spider cave, i made it after i got the idea from my m8 w00f from FEAR guild, thx for him 4 that.
So lets get started
1. Whirling Defence
2. Troll Ulignent
3. Oath Shot [E]
4. Storm Chaser
5. Quickening Zephyr
6. Conflagration
7. Winnowing
8. Dodge or Healing Spring
AP
15 ( 12 + 2+ 1 ) Exper
13 ( 12 + 1 ) Wilder
Drakescale Armor, weapon with +7vs elemental, shield best is +45 and -2 ( stance)
Any type of bow
The Main thing: THIS is ONLY for spiders.
A little intruduction
1st we run the same as warrior solo, the main exeption is that we dont kill driftwoods, no way killing them, we use strom chaser and dodge for getting to the spiders cave, as we enter near the spider cave, like 5 groups appear one by another, we stand behing that wall, and cast Winnowing, Quickening Zephyr and Conflagration, then we use Whirling and lure all the spiders to one large group (ofc if possible), try to evade the dryders also, we we keep all the time trolls for health regen, if whirling is ending we use Oath Shot (ofc change slot to have a bow there ) to recharge it immidietly ( 20 sec time of whirling, oath shot with QZ recharges 18 sec ), the spiders each time we evade get 12+4 dmg, so 16 dmg almost all the time, ofc when spirits fade, make new ones (its rly important to keep up QZ), build is tried and works nice, I also try to kill dryders first by just coming near to them nad let the cave spiders shoot
Ok now a short reminder:
1. ONLY Spiders
2. Keep Up Those 3 spirits ( QZ and Conflagration are req for this one, winnowing only makes it faster )
3. Lure to one group so it will go faster
4. Carefull with Dogde and Storm chaser -> very long recharge
5. If ur getting back behind the wall to put new spirits DONT use dogde or storm chaser, it will cause spiders to spread
6. Keep Troll all the time on You
And thats about it, a run takes me now about 25 minutes if everything is made properly...

EDIT: And dmg from Whirling interupts Healing Spring, so dont worry about that one.

^ So you're using Whirling Defense as your main offensive skill?

Yup Whirling defence is the only DMG dealing skill + winnowing ofc, the Conflagration makes dmg u recive fire dmg so with 75% evade and drakescale armor shouldnt be a problem

Conflagration = 2,5 energy
Winnowing = 2,5 energy
Quickening Zephyr = 12 energy
Spirits = 17 energy
Whirling = 5 energy + 30% (QZ) = 6,5 energy
Troll = 3 + 30% (QZ) = 3,5 energy
Preparation = 10 energy
No Probs especiallywith energy regen 3
You can also come to spiders with 2 sec Storm chaser to recharge energy, 2 sec not longer, or You will be dead xD

Hmm, that looks intrugueing.
I suppose it'll work much better now that for some weird reason all spiders no longer use Called Shot.
Isn't it a problem that they flee though?

Not rly, the spiders have the tendency to go in gruops, so when the will flee, they do it in groups of 3-6, or when u lure them into a wall they will only flee in 2 sides, good positioning will cause 50% of the spiders to go in a dead end then U make a quick body block

Yes if You Keep getting projectile attacks from Cave spiders. they flee aslo, but no problem on engaging them again.

I'm gonna give it a go now. Although as i'm running out of space, theres no way in hell i'm buying a new set of armour (druids all the way!). *sigh* i've been trying to figure out how to cope with the downtime on QZ... too bad i forgot Oath Shot restores slightly more than just Whirling Defences
Hmm.... too bad i've only just noticed Korea have the favour, stupid balthazaar.
